🔀Proxies for Telegram Cloud
When working with Telegram Cloud at the moment, using proxy servers is mandatory. In this article we will explain why this is necessary and how to connect one.
A proxy server is an intermediary in the transmission of information between the user and the service. It helps provide anonymity and hides data about the user's location.
Telegram accounts can be banned for various reasons, for example because of location, device, IP address, and using a proxy helps hide this data to avoid being blocked.
Where to get a proxy?
In order to have a proxy you need to buy one. We recommend using the service PROXY6.NET (with the promo code "Selarti" you will receive a 5% discount on proxy purchases). You can also choose other marketplaces; there are many of them.
Do not use free proxies, your account will be blocked.
Which proxy to buy:
The proxy protocol should be socks5; in the recommended service this is selected at the time of purchase;
Proxy format IPv4; the recommended service offers two suitable options — IPv4 and IPv4 (shared);
The proxy country should match the country of registration of the Telegram account;
The issuance format should be: IP, port, login, password. In the service above these details are provided after purchase and can be found in the personal account under the "Proxies" tab.
Up to three Telegram accounts can be bound to a single proxy.
There are private proxies and shared ones — the latter are of course cheaper, but several people have access to them. Keep in mind that others may also use the proxy to connect Telegram and the restriction may be triggered.
Note — proxies are often sold for a specific period. On the marketplace we recommend this period is a minimum of 30 days. After they expire the proxy will stop working and must be renewed.
How to use a proxy?
In the Selarti personal account open the "Channels" section and create a new channel or choose an existing channel with the type "Telegram Cloud".

Connect the channel as in the channel setup instructions.
After connecting the Telegram account, open the channel again and enable the checkbox "Use proxy" and fill in the displayed fields with the details from the purchased proxy. Click "Save" — after connecting the channel the button label will change.
